While you’re away, I come by on a schedule and keep everything alive — the ones inside, and the ones out on the porch and in the beds too. Every visit, you get a text with a few photos, so you can see for yourself that nothing’s gone crispy while you’ve been off enjoying the water.
Half my summer starts with the same text: “We’re headed to the lake house for a few weeks — can you keep an eye on everything while we’re gone?”
It’s simple. You leave, I water. Same hands every visit — mine — not a neighbor doing you a favor or a different kid down the street each week. I water things the way they actually need for where you live, keep an eye out for anything starting to turn, and lock up behind me like you were never not home.

Most folks I do this for have a second place — out on the lake, somewhere in the Hill Country, a spot they leave for weeks at a stretch. Some just travel for work long enough that things start to suffer at home. Either way, you get to go, and not think about it.
